Is it bad for vegans to drink soda?
I'm a vegetarian and was never a big fan of soda, but sometimes you just want one. Do you think it's okay for vegans who have a drink occasionally, or not a good idea? I know that soda is bad for your bones, and I really do not get a lot of calcium. I to take calcium pills to help me. Anyway, if I can help with my dilemma it would be great: D Thanks guys! I know that soda does not have any animal products and is vegan. I'm not worried about it. I worry that since I do not get enough calcium, which will affect my bone health. So please do not answer saying "Soda has no meat in it" because I am not stupid, I know. Thanks:)
Obviously soda is bad in general, but ... Soda is bad only in terms of leaching of calcium if you drink regularly or constantly. An occasional soda is not really going to cause much damage. There drinks are much more "natural" Available now. I've never been big on soda or ... fortunately, was not raised in one of those families 24/7...ew sodas. 
But what I crave every now and then too, and I found that "natural" drinks actually taste better. There are so sickeningly sweet, since they are made with real sugar or syrup rice, and things like that instead of HFCS. They are still junk food, of course, but they are much better than regular soda. You can also simply buy some tonic water and mixed with your favorite fruit juice. That's even more natural. A better question would be: Why are you not getting enough calcium? Calcium is quite easy, actually. Broccoli is an excellent source. How can you not love broccoli?
