What are leather-free shoes?
The use of leather has always bothered me even when I was just your standard lacto-ovo-vegetarian. Now that I am pure vegetarian or "vegan", I am very worried about my shoes. However, I am a college student with no money, so I really can not afford afford to get new ones at this time. So I go to my three most commonly used shoes, and I hope someone can tell me about them or give me a website or other resources, so I know what is artificial and what to avoid: Black Chuck Taylor All-stars (canvas, I know, but I'm just being safe) Vans "Off the Wall" skate shoes (The label does not enlighten me as to whether or not the leather, which is the top bracket is artificial or not) of Nike "New Balance" tennis shoes (for run. The label which also did not enlighten me) Thanks!
I heard it could be a question about the glue used for Converse, but appear to be cataloged as a vegan in more than one place of shoes. I do not know how well this company's scope of things, but all three of their shoes are sold as being vegan here: http://www.suitableshoes.com/categories/79.html
