--- Survey vegan ... Healthy lifestyle or not?
I personally am a vegan. What are you? and do you think being a vegan or vegetarian is healthy?
NO. It is NOT healthy. Can you point to a single culture in the world that follows the philosophy of vegetarianism? There is no one and for good reason. Every vegan I know jack supplements of some sort to make a feeble attempt to compensate for the lack of nutrients in the diet lifestyle. Most vegans are following that lifestyle because some moral issues they feel strongly about and is not based on good science at all. Vegetarians can be healthy, but not many. The quality of vegetables and fruits in the United States today are very poor at best. The lack of good nutrients in these foods is even more difficult for a vegetarian to be healthy without supplementation. The quality of the supplements are very poor in general. All told, U.S. beef is horrible and all the grain in animal feed has destroyed any capacity leaving the animals too sick to sick people as well. The real answer is to improve the quality of food in general, not create more madness as genetic engineering, fumigation, chemical fertilizers, and many other factors that are contributing to food-feeding sick Americans. Food and agriculture industries in the United States should be ashamed of the products and how the benefits of these industries rose and led the U.S. health pandemic food. EDIT: Here's a good book for anyone interested in a healthy diet. "Nutrition and Physical Degeneration" by Weston A. Price, DDS. This man traveled the world in early 1930 to find out why the dental caries was happening to Americans in an alarming amount of their time. Was 100 of primitive cultures to find out why they did not have cavities, not the accumulation of plaque on teeth, and resistant to most diseases. This study is only true of diets based on actual data. The diets were developed over thousands of years for all these people. What he found surprised him and you will. That includes photos, samples of blood, food they ate, and is integral exhaustingly. To their surprise, their cultures were not vegans who were healthy. Most people everywhere in the world had a diet based on animal consumption. The good news is that this was not a so-called "scientific study" sponsored by some or companies with an agenda, but the raw science. Also found that people ate many fermented foods. I think that vegans are very emaciated, very thin, and simply not healthy. Do you know the old vegan? I do not. Aerola Pavlov was famous vegetarian, bordering on veganism and promoting a culture with many books and had many followers until he died at age 62 of a stroke. Educate yourself and stop following the indoctrination that is widespread in our schools and media of mass marketing campaigns and pseudo scientific studies. Follow what works and gets results. Trust, but verify everything. good luck

A Vegan Diet: How To Explain ‘Vegan' To Friends and Family
Whenever people ask about what vegan means, I've found that it helps to be consistent with 3 specific talking points. If the talking points are brief and simple, it makes the information easy for people to listen to and absorb.
It's also important to clearly communicate the tangible benefits people will experience when they go vegan. Make it easy for those listening to find plenty of answers for the question,"What's in it for me?"
Since many people ask me, "How do I get enough protein," it helps to always include that answer in talking point number 1.
Talking Point 1: Vegan eating increases overall health.
Since vegans don't consume any animal products, vegan foods are naturally cholesterol free. It's nice to have the peace of mind knowing that with a vegan diet, you completely avoid any health problems that can arise from elevated cholesterol levels.
In spite of the misinformation that surrounds being vegan and getting protein, getting enough protein is no problem if you eat a wide variety of plant-based foods. That's right, vegetables! "Where do vegans get calcium?" Answer: leafy greens are a healthy source of calcium.
Talking Point 2: Vegans leave a light eco-footprint.
Explain that animal product production is harsher on the environment than most people realize. Animal product production is linked to accelerating global warming.
Eating vegan food allows people to experience the joy of minimizing their eco-footprint, knowing that eating vegan food automatically makes vegans part of the solution.
Talking Point 3: The vegan lifestyle is a compassionate lifestyle.
Many people go vegan for this very reason: vegans use their dollar as their vote against the mis-treatment of animals. Factory farms have scary production methods for the animals. And vegans are aware that animals sense danger and feel pain.
Vegans decide that they don't want to eat an animal that died a cruel death. While you are explaining what ‘vegan' means, it's important to be clear about how it is benefiting the person who decides to be vegan.
So in talking point number three, be sure to mention that the benefit of vegan food is that it's cruelty-free food. This makes the eating experience more enjoyable.
