Vegan Loves Carrots

I have been a vegetarian since early teenage-hood. During my adult life I was mostly vegan. When I learned of the deplorable conditions of factory farming, I dumped all animal products and became vegan. And Yes, I lived to tell about it! I am now a middle aged vegan. I haven't died of a protein deficiency, despite the claims of meat eaters. As most of us vegans know, we don't really need much protein. However, we do indeed get plenty of protein from plant sources.
People claim that we vegans have to be careful about everything we eat. They say we have to plan our meals to be nutritionally complete. This is only true to a few small points. First, we should take vegan supplements to ensure we get enough vitamin B12. Second, all we have to do to get our daily complete protein is to eat some sort of legume (bean) and grain during the day. It is also a good idea to include flax seed oil in our vegan diet to get the beneficial omega 3. Just sprinkle some flax oil on your meals for a bit of healthy and pleasant tasting seasoning. The rest of the time, we all have so many wonderful, colorful, tasty vegetables and fruits and grains to choose from.
I absolutely love pretty much every vegetable! I truly cannot see why people think they must eat animal meat. If you are thinking of becoming a vegetarian or vegan, keep in mind that it only takes about 3 weeks of meatless-ness to loose your taste for meat. It is very simple actually... Just Do It!
